Do you know any good places for hiking or walking in and around Almuñecar?

There is a walking group which does walks normally fairly near to Almuñecar usually on Sundays
all year except for when it is too hot between June and mid September.

The walks are normally about 10km.

Most of the group are English speakers.
If you don't have a car someone will normally be able to take you.
It's very friendly.
