My wife and I are going  to visit Granada for 2 nights.

Can you give us some tips and advice.

It is our anniversary.

Re: Re: 2 night trip to Granada for our anniversary.

Here are a few suggestions:

BREAKFAST: Café Fútbol  https://granadamap.com/placemap.php?place_id=81 on Plaza Marian a Pineda. It is a famous Spanish bar with the locals and famous for its chocolate con churros or simply tostadas.

LUNCH/DINNER: Cunini is famous for fish and shellfish and is in Plaza Pescaderia just round the corner from the catedral https://granadamap.com/cunini/index.htm . It is famous for its tapas in the middle of the day but also as an evening restaurant.

LUNCH/DINNER: Mirador de Moraymar -  a typical "carmen" in the Albaicin (https://miradordemorayma.com/). A carmen is a house with a walled garden and views of the Alhambra.
The specialty of Granada is "tortilla sacromonte" probably best avoided unless you are feeling adventurous (it contains brains, testicles, red peppers and peas), quite tasty but Granadainos wouldn't touch it with a barge pole

TAPAS: Casa Julio is a typical small tapas bar off Plaza Nueva https://granadainfo.com/elvirag/casajulio/index.htm - https://granadamap.com/placemap.php?place_id=15 on Calle Hermosa
Nearby is the Antigua Bodega Castañeda - a traditional tapas bar. There are two sides to the bar so make sure you go in through the entrance on Calle Elvira / Calle Almireceros https://granadamap.com/placemap_sp.php?place_id=5 This bar is famous for its drink "calicasas" which is a potent mixture of sherries, vermouth, etc.

ARAB BATH WITH MASSAGE:  A relaxing thing to do to to go for a Hammam bath. There is a place right in the center of Granada right under the Alhambra. Click here for more info.

TAPAS:  Walk along behind the statue of Queen Isabel and Christopher Columbus (he's presenting her with a list of all the ships, sailors, etc. that he needs for his journey to discover America), continue straight on and eventually you will come to Calle Molinos. Just behind this is CAMPO DE PRINCIPE which is just below the Alhambra on the other side and there are excellent tapas bars on the right.

TAPAS: The area of Calle Navas is a good area for tapas and here you'll find one of the most famous tapas bars in Granada  - Los Diamantes. It's small but well worth the wait and squash.

WALKS: Here is a page I've put with walks to take in the sights:

One of the nicest areas in Granada is Paseo de los Tristes (where they used to carry the hearses along before taking them up to the cemetery at the Alhambra) and the third one is a circular one.

PLACE TO STAY
Casa morisca: Lots of charm in a place which has a a romantic feel near to the Alhambra but with good communications because the C minibuses go past frequently
